Wallpaper Use and Licensing Policy
Effective Date: September 24, 2024
At Chévereh, we are committed to providing high-quality, AI-enhanced wallpapers. Some designs may incorporate third-party elements, such as assets from Canva. The following terms apply to the use and distribution of our PNG wallpapers to ensure transparency, proper usage, and compliance with licensing regulations.
1. File Format
We currently offer wallpapers in the PNG format, which ensures high-resolution images and supports transparency for optimal display on digital devices.
2. License and Usage Terms
A. Personal Use License
By purchasing or downloading wallpapers from Chévereh, you are granted a non-transferable, non-exclusive, personal-use license. This license permits you to:
-
Set the wallpaper as a background on your personal devices (e.g., phone, desktop, tablet).
Prohibited Uses:
-
Commercial Use: You may not use the wallpaper for any commercial purpose, including resale, advertising, or promotional projects.
-
Modification: You are not permitted to modify, remix, or build upon the wallpaper and then distribute the modified version.
-
Redistribution: You may not redistribute the wallpaper in any format or through any platform, whether for free or for sale.
-
Printing: Printing the wallpapers for any purpose, whether personal or commercial, is strictly prohibited.
B. Use of Canva Assets
Some of our wallpapers may include elements licensed from Canva. Canva’s licensing terms strictly prohibit the extraction or redistribution of standalone Canva assets. In compliance with these rules:
-
The Canva assets used within our wallpapers are licensed for integration into our unique designs.
-
You are not allowed to extract or reuse Canva elements from our wallpapers.
-
All Canva assets used are transformed into part of a larger, original design, and cannot be used separately.
For more information on Canva’s licensing terms, please refer to their License Agreement.
3. Attribution and Credit
If you share or display our wallpapers publicly (e.g., on social media or blogs), you must credit Chévereh as the creator. Proper attribution includes:
-
Mentioning Chévereh by name.
-
Linking to our website or the specific wallpaper page (where applicable).
-
Refraining from implying any form of endorsement or partnership by Chévereh.
4. Copyright and Intellectual Property
All wallpapers are the intellectual property of Chévereh, and all rights are reserved. This includes both the original elements, and any third-party assets used within the design. The wallpaper is licensed, not sold. Ownership remains with Chévereh and any licensors (such as Canva) where applicable.
5. Liability and Indemnification
By using our wallpapers, you agree to indemnify and hold Chévereh harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your improper use of the wallpapers, including but not limited to:
-
Using wallpapers for unauthorized commercial purposes.
-
Modifying or redistributing wallpapers in violation of this policy.
-
Violating Canva’s terms or any other third-party licensing agreements integrated into our designs.
6. Termination of License
We reserve the right to terminate your license to use our wallpapers if you violate any of the terms outlined in this policy. Upon termination, you are required to delete the wallpapers from all devices and cease any further use.
7. Updates to the Policy
This Wallpaper Use and Licensing Policy may be updated periodically. Any changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our wallpapers after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
